Dr Hok Yee Siu was born in the scenic West Coast of Scotland. He trained at The University of Edinburgh with post graduate training in Edinburgh; followed by four years in emergency departments (often being the most senior doctor) in Australia; and finally completing his RACGP fellowship in 2020. He also provided medical services at Fairhaven Drug and Alcohol Detoxification and Rehabilitation for four years.
Dr Siu now enjoys working at Tamborine Mountain Medical Practice and Wise Emergency in Robina. He has a special interest in addiction medicine and emergency medicine. He is very proud to have set up the only private, in-home alcohol detox service on the Gold Coast – AIR Detox. This service will safely help a patient withdraw from alcohol in their own home allowing them to continue onto their rehabilitation journey. He hopes he can increase the service Australia wide.
When not seeing patients, Dr Siu loves spending time with his incredible wife and two beautiful daughters (immersed in the world of Bluey and Peppa pig). On rare occasions he is off parent duty he will be playing golf, football or any racquet sport he can find someone to play with.
