Dr Hohl graduated from UQ IN 1970. Residency completed in PNG due to interest in Tropical Medicine 1971,72.
1973 Diploma of Tropical Med & Hygiene with 30 others who had worked in resource poor areas. Together developed strategy to prevent diseases at community level.
1974 Medical Registrar Greenslopes Hospital, 1975 General Practice and preparing further for next role.
1976-82 Started a Rural Health Program in a large area of northern Nigeria training Village Health Workers. Surveys with dedicated RNs and Med students over 2yrs confirmed this cut under 5 mortality 50% in 2yrs. Handed over to Nigerian leadership. Later awarded FAFPHM in light of this work.
1983 at QE2 hospital to get back into Western Medicine, then opened first General Practice in Helensvale. 1995 opened first Travel Medicine clinic on Gold Coast in Southport due to many people asking for this advice. Passed Certificate in Travel Health from International Society of Travel Medicine. One of the founders of the Travel Medicine Alliance, now with clinics around Australia.
My major interest in General Practice continues to be on evidence-based preventive medicine, and I enjoy working with my 8 colleagues at Health HQ and Travel Health Doctors.

Dr Nora Cadman

Dr Cadman graduated from University of Queensland in 1985 ( MBBS) and subsequent to this obtained her fellowship in General Practice ( FRACGP) , and certificate in Family Planning.
In addition to General Practice, she has consistently maintained a special interest in all aspects of women’s health including shared antenatal care, menopause, contraception, PCOS , sexual health and genitourinary or bleeding problems.
She is also very excited to be able to offer safe use of ” body identical ” hormones for menopause management when appropriate .
She is delighted to be working in the new health precinct at Queen St Village Southport, with rooms located in the Health HQ practice.
Dr Stacey Ler
Specialist General Practitioner
Stacey Ler is a local GP who grew up on the Gold Coast. She is a dual-scholarship recipient and a local graduate from Griffith University with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Bachelor of Medical Science (BMedSci) degree. She was the first student in QLD to have obtained guaranteed entry for her medical studies through the Griffith Connect Guaranteed Admission Scheme. She has previously worked at the Gold Coast University Hospital and received several Commendations for Outstanding Performance during her hospital training and was also nominated for Junior Doctor of the Year in 2018. Dr Ler is a strong advocate for General Practice on the Gold Coast, serving as a GP representative on several leading committees, including the Clinical Handover Committee at GCUH, Gold Coast Public Health Network (GCPHN) Clinical Council Chair and Primary Health Care Improvement Committee (PHCIC). She was Director for General Practice Gold Coast in 2022.
She has recently completed the Graduate Certificate in Travel Medicine with James Cook University in 2023, receiving the Travel Health Advisory Group Medal for receiving the highest grade point average. She also completed the International Society of Travel Medicine’s Certificate of Travel Health and Graduate Certificate in Women’s Health at the University of New South Wales in 2024.
