Dr Stacey Ler grew up on the Gold Coast and is currently practicing as a GP at Myhealth Ashmore.

She is a dual-scholarship recipient and a local graduate from Griffith University with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Bachelor of Medical Science (BMedSci) degree. She was the first student in Queensland to have obtained guaranteed entry for her medical studies through the Griffith Connect Guaranteed Admission Scheme.. She completed her internship and Junior House Officer year at the Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH) and Robina Hospital.

She has worked in various units at the Gold Coast University Hospital, including paediatrics, general medicine, orthopaedics, neurology, oncology and emergency department.
She has received several Commendations for Outstanding Performance during her hospital training and was also nominated for Junior Doctor of the Year in 2018.

Dr Ler is also an strong advocate for General Practice on the Gold Coast, serving as a GP representative on several leading committees, including the Clinical Handover Committee at GCUH, Gold Coast Public Health Network (GCPHN) Clinical Council, Primary Health Care Improvement Committee (PHCIC) and The Way Back Steering Committee for Suicide Prevention. She has also accepted the role as Director for General Practice Gold Coast (GPGC) in 2022.

In addition to her multiple clinical roles, she currently mentor Griffith and Bond University medical students and conduct External Clinical Teaching (ECT) sessions with GP registrar trainees.

She has an interest in all areas of general practice and particularly in women and children’s health, geriatrics and diabetes.
She has received further training in paediatrics and is also a graduate from the Sydney Child Health Program (SCHP).
Dr Ler envisions to provide quality evidence-based and patient-centred healthcare to her local community.

When not seeing patients, Dr Ler enjoys drawing and playing the piano.
