Penny studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh and worked for 2 years in the UK before emigrating to Southeast Queensland in 2012. She enjoys delivering holistic care across all areas of family medicine, appreciating the unique opportunity GPs have to provide continuity of care to patients and their families throughout their life.
She is particularly passionate about women and children’s health, having done further focused training in Paediatrics and Obstetrics & Gynaecology, gaining both practical experience and post-graduate qualifications in these specialties. She has a special interest in pre-conception, fertility, pregnancy and postnatal care, feeling privileged to support patients through this process.
In addition to these areas, she enjoys preventative health, chronic disease management and coordinating complex care needs of patients of all ages. She is currently working part-time, balancing work with training GP registrars and spending time with her young family.
