
Dr Laura Baxter

Dr Laura Baxter grew up and trained as a doctor in the UK before emigrating to the Gold Coast in 2013. She spent 4 years working in the Emergency Department before starting her GP training in Northern NSW.
Dr Laura passed her General Practice Fellowship exams in 2019 and is now finishing up the last part of her training.
Dr Laura has always had a passion for Preventative Medicine and since having a baby herself she has become passionate about supporting families through their pregnancy and breastfeeding journeys as the ultimate in preventative care.
Dr Laura is currently undertaking further training in Breastfeeding and Infant Care and training to be an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
As well as providing the breadth of comprehensive General Practice, Dr Laura provides focused care for Women’s Health, Pre-Conception and GP Antenatal Shared Care, Breastfeeding and Parenting Support and Children’s Health (especially the early years).
When she’s not seeing patients, Dr Laura works as a tutor teaching medical students at Bond University. She is also a Director on the Board of Gold Coast General Practice.
