Dr. Sonu Haikerwal is the co-owner and Principal General Practitioner at the Haan Health Medical Centre in Broadbeach and Upper Coomera. Dr Sonu is passionate about medical education and enjoys training GP Registrars and Medical Students at her practices. She brings a wealth of experience in health and general practice and is comfortable dealing with complex health problems.

Dr. Haikerwal is the former Treasurer of General Practice Gold Coast GPGC, she is the former President of the Gold Coast Medical Association GCMA, and she is a current board member with the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation GCHF.

Dr. Sonu graduated from the prestigious AIIMS College in New Delhi, India. In London, UK, she completed her Physician training, MRCP, Obstetrics and Gynaecology DRCOG and General Practitioner training MRCGP. She gained her FRACGP  after moving to Australia and she has been in private practice in Australia for 10 years.

Sonu enjoys long beach walks, she’s a classical Indian dancer (trained in bharatnatyam) and enjoys spending time with her family.
